Macbeth I don't think was ever a morale man. This clear by how easy he fell into the trap of damaging ambition. He is a man completely concerned with himself only and his goal was to be king and stay there, this is where we see the real Macbeth a blood thirst tarquin like tyrant. But we cannot but the full blame on Macbeth, his wife, that depraved women who was malignant influence on Macbeth and further corrupted him to side of treason. But Macbeths in the end saw that there actions were wrong and somewhat became human again but they”re still bad
Whereas we have Macduff a bastion of light in a world of darkness. Macduff shows
that ambition can be good, ambition to make the realm better and not killing the king. He is motivated by Scotland itself and doing whats best for her and not himself this shows to be a true and goodman. Malcolm is the rightful king of Scotland who had throne snatched from under his feet. He is motivated to take back his birthright, but he is a good man who wants to the best for Scotland. From the play it is clear that Malcolm will make a great king.
Banquo was a good man who had his life cut short by a cold blooded killer who fancied himself a king. Banquo was motivated by patriotism like the other good stock of the story.
The time period that the play Macbeth occurs in is durning the viking age. A time period that gives us a whole new meaning to the words vicious and violent. It was time where marauding danes was a problem, and causing internal problems would make your realm weaker instead of stronger.
Shakespeare was begging people not to kill the king, like please don't kill the kill, who was foreigner and a catholic. These factors made this an uncertain time.
The central theme behind the play is the same as the reasoning for writing it, Please please don't kill the kings things go wrong and it only ends badly.
