Leading are the witches and how they have influenced how Macbeth operates his life. The witches are first presented in act Ⅰ scene Ⅲ where they tell Macbeth that he will be the “Thane of Glamis” , “ Thane of Cawdor” and ultimately “The King”. Immediately the thought that they’re crazy yet still wishes to hear more about this prophecy. When the witches leave Ross then enters to tell the good news to Macbeth, that the king had given him the title “Thane of Cawdor”, it is then that Macbeth begins to believe that what they said may have had a shred of truth to it. In Act Ⅰ Scene Ⅶ Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth that the witches told him of his fate now because Duncan would be coming over to spend the night. That it would be a perfect time to secure the claim the throne as his, and that they can set it up so that it looks as if the guards had done it. Later on in Act Ⅱ Scene Ⅱ Lady Macbeth goes on to attempt and kill Duncan after drugging the guards. When she arrives in his quarters she realizes that she can’t commit the act because he reminds her of her father. She then goes on to get Macbeth to do it by de-masculating him until he gives in and does it. This begins his crazy descent into becoming a truly evil
