In this section it shows how modern rulers act like the rulers they had many years ago. Machiavelli stated that rulers should know how to be great liars and deceivers; in today's times this can be translated to "tell people what they want to hear and they will love you." Politicians running for office in modern times do this. They tell citizens what they want to hear and ignore the big
issues that truly matter in the big picture. Also Machiavelli said that a ruler should act quickly while doing immortal things so it would lose attention quicker and they could move on.
