George Gordon Byron (later adding "Noel" to his name), more commonly know as Lord Byron, born January 22, 1788 in London and died on 19 April 1824 in Missolonghi, Greece, was known as the man who was “Mad bad and dangerous to know” with many men and women finding themselves attracted to him (even his own half sister).. He was a top poet in England. Born with a clubbed foot, he was very sensitive of his lameness and strived to pursue a charming character.
As a boy Byron endured many traumatic things. His father abandoned him, his mother was schizophrenic and at the age of nine he was molested by his nurse. This lead to him being supposedly mentally ill.

He was a classy and good looking man but beneath this was a man who was lustful and was able to use and manipulate other people for sex, fame, and more. The first part of the name “Mad” means a person who is mentally deranged or ill this is thought to have been due to him being abused by his nurse or his father abandoning him at a young age. He seemed to have the same amount of love for his poetry as he did woman, however he could never stay loyal to just one ending any relationship that he had within 6 months or less. It was even rumored that he had love affairs with males. “Bad” usually relates to a person who has poor qualities, or someone who lacks manners. Byron treated woman with very little respect using them mainly for sex. He was also known for his ‘bad boy’ behaviour before the name “Mad, bad and dangerous to know” was given to him. The name also suggested that he was “dangerous to know” which seems rather fitting. He was a man who could manipulate others into doing what he wanted including sex. Woman seemed to love the way Byron wrote. He often set a melancholy mood inside his poetry, which woman adored as well as the romantic aspect of his poems too adding to his “bad boy” like personality. Due to the romance in Byron's poems, many women thought that he would be a romantic lover of which they could rely upon.
Lord Byron's bad manners and bad boy personality also attracted many women. Women believe that if they can “develop” or change the perfect man, he will never leave them. So because of this theory, it is believed that many women find themselves trying to get close to Byron in hopes of shaping him into their perfect man.
Many women wrote letters to Byron with sexual underlying metaphors, Lady Caroline lamb even sent him a clipping of her own pubic hair with a note saying “From your wild antelope” after he had terminated their relationship.
