Trust is vital between characters when important decisions are made, if trust is lost it may be one of the hardest things to regain.…
Never let failure stand in the way of happiness. Look on the bright side of what was accomplished, just like Benjamin Franklin once did. “It may be well my posterity should be informed that to this little artifice, with the blessing of God, their ancestor owed the constant felicity of his life, down to his seventy-ninth year in which this is written”…
At the start of December the teacher asked me to design a display which embodied the spirit of the Nativity Story. The display was to be situated on the board above the pegs where the children hang their coats. It was to be put here so that it can be instantly noticed by parents/carers, the children and all visitors to the classroom.…
Disappointment is not the last straw. Sometimes it happens for a reason, teaches you a lesson, sometimes it is followed by success...we must not give up no matter how long it takes.…
Trust is a very valuable thing is one’s life. Without trust, it is next to impossible to go through life. Graham Green happens to agree with this as she had once said, “… it is impossible o go through life without trust…” One can interpret this quote as trust being an essential aspect to life and in order to go through it, there must be someone or something a person can put his or her faith in. Two works of literature that reflect this quote are The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene and A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry.…
In life, failures occasionally happen. It befalls on everybody. However, failures don’t label us as a person but can build you as one of those experiences. The person who succeeds without first failing hasn't truly learned anything. In failures, there can be a learning experience and an opportunity to develop. Throughout my seventeen years, I've encountered my own share of blunders, each teaching me a new lesson.…
It is possible to not trust anyone in life. A Streetcar Named Desire and The Crucible showed a very good example of how this could be possible. The protagonist and antagonist in both of these plays have had hard times to trust someone. Both of these plays show a major lack of trust between characters. Although trust is a nice thing to have, it is not a necessity you can’t live without. Having trust and not having trust won’t really affect you or make much of a difference on your daily life.…
Failure, a part of life most people try to avoid as often as possible. It comes in many forms, scaling from missing a problem on a homework assignment to flunking out of a class. The word ‘Failure’ is seen so negatively most people hate to associate with it. A lack of success is one of those aspects of life that at first is upsetting, maybe even frustrating that ends up helping someone blossom. People learn from their defeats, learn to change and accept. Everyone has failures and part of life is getting over those failures and coming out stronger. Even I have experienced failures in the past that have significantly helped me out.…
Failure is something that we cannot go through life without experiencing. The best thing about failure is that failure can be used as a great learning experience to improve upon things in our lives and career. Using failure as a learning tool is dependent upon the person and how they view it as well as how they use it. Failure is a matter of perspective and the lessons in failure are important aspects towards growth and development. If we did not experience failure there wouldn’t be opportunities for learning. Failure can teach us about ourselves as well as provide an understanding for our strengths and weaknesses and even provide motivation (Mindtools.com, 2012).…
Failure is something no one likes. I have learned over the years that failure is perceived as a bad thing. No one ever told me failure could be taken as a good thing. That was until I read a story in This I Believe II. The author explained why he liked failure and why failure could be a good thing. Forgiveness is something everyone should learn. Many people in our lives may do wrong to us and if we hold on to the hurt and anger we will never find happiness. I was one of those people who could hold a grudge forever, and then I realized that being happy was more important to me so I learned forgiveness (mainly with a little help). When I read a story in This I Believe II I realized the author had a life very similar to mine. It help me appreciate learning forgiveness.…
If I trust someone they will let me down, hurt, disappoint take advantage of and even betray me. This irrational care belief came from my early dating days. This was perceived or interpreted from experiences. Growing up I had absolutely no reason to doubt anyone. I was always trusting and one who always made myself available to others. I was and often put myself on the forefront to help anyone in need.…
While disappointments often bring us down, they happen for a reason. Disappointments can have a good side, because they can mold us into a better person.…
My expectations may not be the same as others, so not forgetting the people make mistakes same as me. Keeping in mind that I am not in control of every situation and that other people are capable of resolving problems or events that I may believe are only accomplishable by me. Trusting other people’s choices and decisions will help in overcoming this blind spot.…
For some people it takes forever to figure out that failure is not always a bad thing, while at the time it may seem like the end of the world. “We are all potentially capable of any human act.” (Roth 39). Even the most successful of people have failed at something at least once in their lives. Maybe consider though, that failure was what brought them back up to the best, hardest working person that they could be and it did not take long for them to retrieve what they had lost and made it ten times better!…
