Situational crime prevention can be defined as tactics aimed at reducing and controlling crime by focusing on specific problems, places, persons, or times. Situational CP requires a greater level of problem identification and planning prior to the programs implementation. Most situational CP programs are aimed at reducing crime opportunity and increasing risk.
