Fast forwarding after the war, Gatsby became a wealthy man owning one of the most lavishly beautiful mansion in the novel. The mansion is located in the West Egg, Long Island where according to the author, it is less fashionable compared to the East Egg, the more wealthy and lavishing side. Gatsby’s mansion had a variety of symbolic meanings depending on the scene. Overall it represented Gatsby himself.
