During the last session, Pt.
continues to minimize his marijuana abuse and consequent erratic behavior and was given information on relapse prevention strategies during relapse prevention group. Pt. made minimal progress on avoiding negative people and avoid using any illicit substance in an effort to maintain sobriety. Patient needs to realize that the people with whom he was getting high were not true friends and begin to forge positive relationships with drug-free and recovering people. During this quarter, Counselor will prompt pt. to participate in AA, NA, CA, church or other community organizations meeting as a way of filling the void left by the loss of drug-using friends.
During the last quarter, Pt. learned, through the AMS educational group, to give and receive feedback about wellness skills implementation for pain management. Although the Pt. was monitored for medication side effects in the program, he reported no concerns in this
area.
