It was estimated that around 12000 people died in accidents in 2008 because of drunken drive case. About 32% of total traffic fatalities were caused because of high alcohol level in driver’s blood. In US, the average death rate because of alcohol is 85000 per year. It is medically proved that marijuana is less harmful than alcohol. It is a fact that there is no case of overdose of marijuana. Marijuana has never been the cause of death or any casualties. The tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) found in marijuana gives both relaxing and alerting effect on the human body. These substances in the cannabis makes it beneficial and curative.

So, it should be supported by levying tax by the government for its beneficial purpose. Laws enforcement’s duties should not only be arresting the individuals for the use of marijuana. Arresting the consumer of marijuana is useless as its arrest makes justice more expensive and less efficient in United States, squandering the spaces of prisons, wasting times of court system, diverting the time of polices and so on.
Marijuana can be used as a medicine and also as a recreational drug which are the positive aspects of it. Most of the people use it as it is good for them because they have made an informed decision. Mainly, to those natives American who are suffering from serious ailments. It even provides relief from various diseases such as nausea, spasticity, pain and other diseases that aren’t treated successfully with conventional medication.
According to the physicians, marijuana has no risks for the users and community as it is the best medicinal treatment for some of the patients. Almost 70% of people prefer it as a medical option. Marijuana is compared with cocaine and brown sugar as a drug, but it is incomparable to such toxic drugs. Actually, marijuana is natural healer. Marijuana can be used for reversing the carcinogenic effects of tobacco and improving condition of lungs. Thus, law enforcement should be done to legalize marijuana.
