Did you know that the ocean is the largest biome in the world?
In this paper I will tell you all about the Marine Biome, I will tell you about the weather, major landforms, sea creatures and more.
This biome is all connected. The ocean is surrounding all of your coastal states in your country. I selected this biome because I enjoy all of the coral reefs and the creatures that make it their home. In the next paragraph I will tell you about the weather of this biome. How many seasons are in the ocean? The oceans seasons are very much like the seasons on land. There are different feeding or breeding times for all the different creatures, the ocean is cold in winter and warm in the summer. The temperature …show more content…
What is the average rainfall each year? There are two reasons why it rains so much, One, it's a large biome, and two, the rain will come faster because the biome is made of water. The average yearly rain is up to 100 …show more content…
There are many different and unique animals in the sea such as, mammals, marine fish, Crustaceans such as crab or lobster, and mollusks such as squid and octopus. What do they eat? The larger animals may eat smaller fish or like whales they eat plankton: the small and microscopic organisms drifting or floating in the sea or freshwater, consisting chiefly of diatoms, protozoans, small crustaceans, and the eggs and larval stages of larger animals. Many animals are adapted to feed on plankton, especially by filtering the water. There are different types of animals that eat different things, most of the ocean fish usually eat each other, as well as crustaceans such as shrimp, and crabs. Fish also eat kelp, algae, and plankton, as well as cephalopods such as squid and octopus and also echinoderms such as sea urchins. Are these animals Omnivores, Carnivores or herbivores? Well, some of them such as little fish mostly eat small plants or insects that they can find, other bigger fish mostly eat other tiny of medium sized fish the same might go for the other animals. So, that tells us that they are mostly omnivores. The plants also may eat tiny fish or decompose dead
