Introduction to the Taiga
The Taiga biome is the largest terrestrial biome. It is a vast forest that includes heavy snow, as well as a variety of different animals. This biome can be found in Alaska, Canada, as well as many places more. The geography of the Taiga has poor soil, tall trees, and is followed by the Tundra as well as the Permanent Ice caps. This terrestrial biome has both abiotic and biotic factors that can sustain an ecosystem. Sense the Taiga is typically near mountains, it is prone to natural disaster.

The Snowshoe Hare gives energy to the Red Fox, Wolverine, and the Canada Lynx. This makes the Snowshoe Hare prey. Wolverine
The Wolverine is a predator that is an omnivore. It eats the Snowshoe Hare, Caribou, and even berries. It is also a scavenger. Canada Lynx
The Canada Lynx is predator that is a carnivore. They eat Snowshoe Hares and are usually alone, not in packs. Bald Eagle
The Bald Eagle is a predator that is a carnivore. They eat rodents, fish, and may sometimes compete with other Eagles for food. Black Bear
The Black Bear is a predator; it’s also an omnivore. They eat berries, and mammals such as Caribou. Red Fox
The Red Fox is a predator which eats both plants and animals. These foxes do not travel in packs but eat berries and mammals such as the Cowberry Bush and the Snowshoe Hare. Caribou
The Caribou are herbivores that feed mainly feeds off of the bushes in the area. They feed other animals such as the Black Berry. Peregrine Falcon
The Peregrine Falcon is a carnivore. They may eat other smaller birds that live in the area. Honey Fungus
