Mark Antony was born January 14th 83 B.C. to Marcus Tullius Cicero and and Julia. He spent his his early years gambling and drinking and by the age of twenty was in enormous debt. In hopes of escaping creditors he fled to Greece in 58 B.C. In 57 B.C. Mark Antony joined the military.

During Julius Caesar’s rule Antony was his second-in-command. Antony began to hear many rumors of a plot to kill Julius Caesar but couldn’t to warn him in time. After Caesar's assassination Antony fled Rome dressed like a slave in fear of being killed by Caesar's supporters but later returned to Rome.

In 43 B.C. Mark Antony along with Octavian and Lepidus formed the 2nd Triumvirate and split the land among the three of them. Octavian ruled the West, Antony ruled the East and Lepidus got to rule Africa. they ruled peacefully for 10 years until jealousy and violence took control of them. The first incident was Octavian forcing Lepidus to retire by offering him many riches. Soon after Lepidus retired Octavian and Mark Antony became rivals. They fought battles against each other.
Mark Antony fell in love with Queen Cleopatra. She gave birth to twins, Alexander Helios and Cleopatra Selene. Antony had to go back to Rome and leave his new family. The Senate made Antony marry Octavian’s sister Octavia Minor. Cleopatra had a third child named Ptolemy Philadelphus. In 32 B.C. Antony divorced Octavia so Octavian declared war on Egypt. Cleopatra and Antony's combined forces lost to Octavian. Antony and Cleopatra committed suicide together by getting bitten by a poisonous snake. When Antony died his honors and statues were taken
