I work for the small engine components division of Mahle (PC2) as an engineer in the research and development department (R&D). There was a change from functional to product division structure. This was the beginning of a transition. The customer started to overtake the development of the products. As a result, he built up own know-how whereas PC2 concentrated on the industrialization. One reason for this was the missing know how transfer from the other R&D departments of Mahle.
