He showed leadership while fighting for equal rights, he showed commitment because even though he received plenty of threats against his family and himself, as well as hate and disagreement, he never stopped fighting for what he wanted to do, and besides being committed and having leadership he was also passionate about his goals. He made some really inspiring and passionate speeches and he would also protest until justice was made.
