Martin Luther King Jr.: A Great Leader

Martin Luther King Jr. Once said, "The time is always right to do what is right." Great leaders show commitment, leadership, and have good communication skills. Martin Luther King Jr. was a great leader because of his good communication skills and he would also sacrifice himself and his family's privacy to stop racism to do what was right. King was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up in Auburn Avenue community of Atlanta, and he was assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a Baptist minister as well as a social activist and he also led the American civil rights movement from the middle of 1950s until he passed away in 1968. King had many of the traits it takes to be a great leader.

He showed leadership while fighting for equal rights, he showed commitment because even though he received plenty of threats against his family and himself, as well as hate and disagreement, he never stopped fighting for what he wanted to do, and besides being committed and having leadership he was also passionate about his goals. He made some really inspiring and passionate speeches and he would also protest until justice was made. King's achievements show that it is not easy to accomplish your goals but it is not impossible, it is vey possible if you stay committed and you're passionate about what you are doing.
