Many people know about the speeches of Martin Luther King Jr, but many people don’t know how he was an admirable person. Martin Luther King Jr was born in January 15, 1925 and his parents are Alberta King and Martin Luther King Sr. He became a pastor for the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta to carry on family tradition because his grandfather became a pastor there also. He got a B.A degree in 1948, and his doctorate degree in 1955. He got married to an intelligent women named Coretta and had two sons and two daughters. He was assassinated by James Earl Ray in April 4, 1968 when he was standing on his balcony in Memphis, Tennessee (January). Martin Luther King Jr is an admirable person because he is a great leader, respectful to others, and he is a hard worker.
Martin Luther King Jr was one of the best leaders that helped the civil rights movement. Martin Luther King Jr always respected his peers as if they were his brothers. He wants to get equal rights because he wants segregation to end for everyone, not himself. He said that, “I look to a day when people are not judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character (BrainyQuote).” He never hurt anyone even the people that opposed of the civil rights movement (January). He always respected people’s boundaries and their opinions when he was apart of the civil's rights movement. Martin Luther King Jr had to work hard for equal rights and he had to work hard to get to where he is now. He received the Nobel Peace prize in 1964 and he gave all the money he received to fund the civil rights movement. He got arrested and he went to Birmingham jail and he was never discouraged in their and he actually had the free time to write a famous speech called “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” He gave his whole life to support the civil rights movement to put a stop to segregation for the people (Haberman)! In conclusion, he is a hard worker because he received the Nobel Peace prize in 1964 and gave the profit away to fund the civil rights movement, he was never discouraged when he got arrested and went to Birmingham jail, and he gave his whole life to put a stop to segregation for everyone.
An admirable person has to be a great leader, respectful to others, and being a hard worker and Martin Luther King Jr had all these qualities.
