Martin Luther King's Marches Analysis

Martin Luther King inspired me in many different ways. A little information on Martin Luther King, he was an African American who wanted to be treated equally and stop segregation and discrimination. Martin Luther King did multiple marches and said many speeches to show his point and to protest against segregation and of course discrimination. Martin Luther King’s most famous speech was the “ I have a Dream” speech which he said in front of two hundred and fifty thousand Americans at the Lincoln Memorial.

Now Martin Luther King did not just learn the speech in one day and he did not always have successful marches. It was his hard work and determination that got him where he was. His speech made a lot of racism go away in the USA but not
all of it. This inspires me because he was a single man that brought people together to stop racism. One more thing that Martin Luther King did that inspired me was his marches.

I said that their were some marches that did not go as planned and one of the marches was the march to Selma, Alabama. On their way to Selma many times they were told to leave or disband, but they still kept walking. Alabama sent people to disband the group forcefully, which they did by beating and killing some of them while the others fled including Martin Luther King. The march to Selma ended horrifically, but Martin Luther King still marched but this time to Washington DC. When Martin Luther King got to Washington he said his famous speech and racism for a short time. That just shows that even if you might fail keep trying and you will make it and that is was I think of when I think of Martin Luther King.
