Also with the development of being able to access the news paper on line people no longer have to wait for the news as they used to, they can access news anytime of the day or night on line. People do not have to go to the computer to get to the news now days either they can access the internet and news through their phones or other electronic devices, people can also download coupons that they would get out of the newspaper as well they no longer have to wait for the Sunday news to come in as they used to. Another development with online news is you no longer have to wait for the 4 or 5 am news to come one you can find news at any time of the day just by doing a general search of the topic of your choice. One way that this has affected our culture is that people have come to expect to get what they want without having to wait for it. This affect has not just stuck with the news however it has effected they way people shop they want to buy now and pay later on everything. And this has effected peoples credit ratings because they have come to expect instant gratification.
Another effect that our culture has effected mass media is through television, you no longer have to be sitting in front of your television to watch your favorite program.
You can watch your favorite movie or television program by going to the on demand section. You can also go on the internet and watch television or your favorite program. Television programs now longer have to be watched on the television at a certain time they are able to be accessed at anytime of the day or night, on your computer or on another electronic device such as a smart phone or a tablet. If you have a certain program that you started watching and lost track of you no longer have to wait for re-runs to come one you can look up the episodes you missed and access them on the internet and watch them right away. There are program out there designed for viewers to watch their favorite television programs or movies, at anytime that they want to watch them for the views convenience. A few of these programs are Netflix, Hulu plus or amazons instant videos. Our culture now days wants the conveniences tailored to their times constraints If a viewer does not have the time to watch a program the view will lose interest in that program, but if the viewer has the ability to watch it at their connivance to watch it at his or her leisure he or she is more likely to watch
it.
Another effect that culture has influenced mass media by is electronic devices. We have electronic devices for everything. We have cell phones that have become smart in the way that we can use them to find our ways around. Instead of stopping at a gas station to ask for direction we can now type in an address and get direction to anyplace we want to go. Another electronic device that has become widely popular in our culture is electronic books. Instead of going to a library we can now download books off the internet to read on a device. The positive effect of this is that it save shoulder strain because most of these books only weigh a few ounces instead of a few pounds. On the other hand smart phones are able to hold these books as well. Another device that has affected our culture is the computers and schools, not only can we attend college on line there are online high-schools as well. The positive side of this is when a child is affected with something that causes them to miss many days of the week of school they do not have to worry about the laws of attendance. The ability to attend on-line gives children with social and medical disorders the flexibility of time that they would not otherwise have. The disadvantage of online high school is that the children do not get to interact with children on a continual day to day basis. For adults on the other hand being able to attend college on-line frees them from time constraints that are normally a problem.
