Matched By Ally Condle: An Analysis
A wise person once said, “All you can do is be brave enough. You fought. You loved. You lost. Walk tall.” Life is full of making decision you have to know when to keep quite and when to speak up. The book Matched is a must-read; it teaches a lesson about standing up for who you love. In the book Matched, Ally Condle uses conflict to teach the reader that society doesn’t know what is best for you. For example, the author says “ Cassia had a second match turns out to be Ky and as soon Cassia and Ky were introduced to each other, she starts falling for him. This shows they society has control over the people, however; society is messing with other people’s feelings. Additionally, Cassia says “I think people should be able to choose who the Match …show more content…
For instance falling in love with two people can hurt the other person that you know. I had this friend that was dating one guy and talking to another guy.The guy she was dating ended up getting hurt. This example relevant to teenager audience because you have some teenagers get into relationships cause they either lonely or just get into one cause they’re friends are in relationships. Teenagers also could be in a relationship and find someone else they are interested in and not think about the other person feelings. Furthermore I saw this couple out in public fussing at each and people was looking at them. The woman started crying and hitting on her boyfriend and he wrapped his arms around her then he said “I’m sorry I’ve just falling out of love with you.” You could see the hurt in the woman eyes and guilt in the mans eyes then the man turned around and walked off with another woman. Without a doubt, all teen can learn from the author’s valuable lesson of how falling in love with two people can be can be confusing and can hurt the other person.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to others! An example is Cassia always trusted in the decisions that she makes and, never really thought about it twice. This proves that all the things Cassia has done she has done it in secret and never told anybody about it. Cassia is faced with impossible choices between the only life she’s known and a path no one else has ever followed.

Teenagers tend to want more liberty and want to move out of their parent's house, when they eventually do that they end up hating it because it did not met their expectations. When people are young and immature they make decisions, due to a certain lust or desire, which they latter on regret. Urging too much for something sometimes causes for you to take your distractions off the consequences, because you do not see them. These ignorant people will become understanding as they mature, and realize that some things in life our not quite as easy as they seem. Anyone reading Ally Condie’s Matched in this time and age has probably noticed the patterns of dystopian love fiction many times: the love triangle, the teenage girl protagonist, the clichés, and a villain who is powerful and controls the society. There is a constantly growing book pile of dystopian literature yet new ones are still made. Condie merges the reader and the characters and grounds us in a strange world where the Society holds all the power and rules as a totalitarian government.…
