Maus: My Father Bleeds History: Summary
For my Unit 4 Summative, I decided to create a poster based on the novel Maus: A Survivor’s Tale: My Father Bleeds History. I created my poster in the typical flyer style propaganda that would have been distributed across Europe during World War II by the Allied Powers. During that time, one of the most common spoken languages in Western Europe was French. On May 10, 1940, Germany distracted the Allied Powers by attacking the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The Allied Powers kept their attention on those countries while Adolf Hitler’s Nazi army invaded Paris, giving him the opportunity to control France. Throughout history, the motivation of man's self interest has concluded in the domination of those with little or no power in the absence of the rule of law. The war on terror presents an unpredictable challenge for the United States whereas terrorists are apprehended and deprived of due process. The right of Habeas corpus overrules man's interpretation, in which allows those accused federal and state court representation before judge, or jury. It asserts that accusers deemed innocent until proven guilty, accusers possessed the right to representation, appear in person, and charges brought forth. This essay will concentrate on the evolution of habeas corpus, and its suspension by the United States, its relevance during the war on terror, and the United States Supreme Court's interpretation. Nevertheless, these laws are in place to protect every one, moreover to avoid unlawful apprehension, and ensure that habeas corpus works as intended by the Constitution.…

This means that Germans wanted to kill as many of the French as possible so that their force became too weak and had to surrender. The colour white represents surrendering and to bleed them referred to killing the soldiers. However, as aforementioned, the writer does not talk about how the Germans had hidden in dugouts and then later came out with machine guns after British soldiers went over the top, thinking that they had killed the Germans. This piece of writing was produced by a modern historian in 1994. Even though it was written almost eighty years after the Battle of the Somme, this…

Page 42- “My forehead was bathed in cold sweat. But I told him that I did not believe that they could burn in our age that humanity would never tolerate it….” What I believe he means by this is that he believes the humanity in the Germans would prevent them from actually burning someone alive. However the Germans believed that they’re actually the master race and that everyone else was worthless. Hitler and his Nazi party had taken complete control over the minds of most of the German population, corrupting them horribly and very close to completely.…

Deming (2016) defined a system as “a network of interdependent components that work together to try to accomplish the aim of the system.” The aim for any system should be everybody gains, not one part of the system at the expense of another. Every aspect of the organisation should work in harmony to achieve a shared aim/vision. Guilfoyle (2014) states it’s essential to understand the aim of the system. In context, the vision of SFRS is “to make Staffordshire the safest place to be” and the vision of SPOL, “keeping our communities safe and reassured.”…
