The definition of courageous is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, or pain. One person who completely embodies the definition of being courageous is Maya Angelou. Being so courageous, Maya Angelou’s responses to love, hate, and everything in between are altered respectively for many reasons.
Maya Angelou grew up in a prejudice neighborhood and time period. Being courageous was the wisest thing to do. This trait altered Maya’s reaction to life in many ways.
