According to Geico, their insurance platform is so user-friendly and so “easy that a caveman could do it”. In reality, today’s society is vastly different from ancient civilizations that even if a Neolithic man made it to 2015, he would surely go into culture shock. The differences cover all aspects of life which include but are not limited to weapons and warfare, technology, employment opportunities, and finally priorities of the individual. For starters, weaponry has undergone a serious change in the past due to technological advances in warfare. Early man fashioned tools from wood and stone until the Neolithic Age when they were made from bones. Weapons at this point included harpoons, spears, as well as bows and arrows. Later in China, the invention of iron metallurgy allowed for widespread creation and use of weaponry. Finally, Mayan warfare implemented the concept of capturing people as prisoners of war, a practice that persevered time and still exists today. In ancient times, the citizens were primarily concerned with survival and then any additional time was devoted to religion.
