This includes proficiency in medical transcription or successful completion of the Mayo-sponsored Medical/Secretary/Transcriptionist Training Program.
Other qualifications include:
• Excellent English usage and application of grammar and punctuation
• Ability to understand diverse accents and speech variations
• High-level skills in organization, clerical aptitude and attention t detail, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal relations
• Good decision making and judgement
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to prioritized work and follow through independently, handle a variety of tasks, and work collaboratively and professionally
• Work experience as a medical secretary and/or transcriptionist, experience with secretarial and clerical software, and basic math skills (preferred)
