When you divided the concentrate by water whatever ans you get eg.(0.6 or 0.75) which ever one has a higher value will be most orangey which is (Mix B.) Whereas the least orangey will be Mix A, mix a is in the tenths place but mix be is in the hundredths placed that's why I said mix a is smaller because it has a smaller value. Also if you don't know how to do it while dividing you can also chose fractions. For the fractions all you need to do is turn it into common denominators and solve.…

The Gullah culture started with the transportation of African slaves to the Sea Islands of South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The Sea Islands served as an excellent location for the Gullah culture because of its separation from the mainland. The African slaves, who came from different regions in African, brought with them their language, culture and traditions. Collectively these traditions and languages have merged into one to form Gullah. The Gullah culture has survived over the years by Gullah elders passing down the language and traditions to their children. However, over the past fifty years the Gullah culture has started to die. Three significant factors…

    Muslim Cities DBQ

Cities in Muslim society played a major role in religion because they were places where Muslims had to go to make religious pilgrimages. Ibn Jubayr, a Spanish Muslim traveler and geographer, said that Damascus was an important religious city because Allah gave Jesus and his mother refuge in Damascus which brought the city great honor (Doc 1). Al-Ya’qubi, Arab historian and geographer, explained the importance of the pilgrimage to Mecca for Muslims, which citizens of Syria were forbidden to make because Abdullah ibn Zubayr tended to seize the caliph’s citizens while on their journey to the Holy City (Doc 10). Document 4 shows most of the vital Muslim holy cities throughout North Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. However, a document that expresses the viewpoint of a Christian on Islam is required to really get a true understanding on the religious roles of the cities. Religion was not the only role Muslim cities had, but also played a crucial role on trade.…

Hajj is a five day quest which takes place in Mecca, and it includes many spiritual rituals. Mecca is located in the western Mountains of Saudi Arabia, it has been considered as sacred territory even before Islam. People not allowed to hunt or cut the trees in this area. The Kaba, known as the celestial house of God, is a simple stone building covered in a beautiful hand sewn cloth made with gold, standing 50 feet high, and is located in the center of Mecca. Muslims believe that Adam built the Kaba with cosmic plans handed down by God, and re-built by Abraham after the great flood. The South East corner of the Kaba embraces a black stone within silver, some believe it fell from the heavens, and Abraham used it during construction. Islam believes that Abraham started the pilgrimage, he is also known as the father to Jews, and Christians. Abrahams story is the core of the pilgrimage, and the annual rituals displayed in mecca during Hajj were established by him. The main purpose of Hajj is submission to one god. It is known that pre- Islamic Arabs practiced the pilgrimage to Mecca; this practice is older than Islam.…

The Crusades were expeditions that originated in completion of a solemn vow in order to deliver the Holy areas from Mohammedan domination. The origin of the word can be traced to the cross. This meaningful cross was worn as a badge on the outer garment of those who took part in these enterprises and also made out of cloth. Since the Middle Ages, the meaning of the word crusade has been comprehended to contain all wars undertaken in the act or practice of pursuing a vow. It was also directed against infidels who were the Mohammedans, Pagans, Heretics, or those under the bar of excommunication. Modern literature has abused the word crusade by applying it to all wars having anything to do with religion. An example would be the voyage of Heraclius against the Persians in the seventh century and the conquest of Saxony by Charlemagne.…

Marius had been to see Helen previously about her moving into an old age home. His primary reason for now being there is to see if Helen has made her decision on this matter. Marius asking Helen “You’re quite certain that you want to discuss this now, Helen?” shows that they were both fully aware of the reason for this visit by the Dominee. He is also concerned as to whether she is eating correctly and uses this opportunity to bring her some vegetables out of his garden. This is evident when Marius says “And at our age we need fresh vegetables, Helen. (wagging his finger at her) Marie biscuits and tea are not a balanced diet.…
