Medical Case Study: Allegra Allergy Medication
Emily was compliant with taking her routine medications, however she often declined her PRN allergy medication (Allegra Allergy 180 MG tab) when offered in instances that she was exhibiting and complaining of seasonal allergy symptoms. The large size of the pill may be contributing to her reluctance to take it. Staff contacted Emily's PCP (Dr. Tucker) and is in the process of having another PRN allergy medication authorized that is smaller and easier to swallow.
Emily had difficulty staying still during her annual mammogram screening on 3/16/16 which resulted in an unusable image. Staff was not permitted to enter the screening area due to being male, resulting in the inability to assist Emily with the screening. Another appointment was scheduled
in which female staff could accompany Emily to the screening area to assist her with remaining still. A successful image was taken during the second appointment on 3/22/16.
