“Marijuana should be legalized in all states for medicinal purposes” Medicinal marijuana has be known to have its positive and negative effects in people but they also have effected one’s opinion. But for those who truly do need cannabis, they don’t use it like other people just to get high. They actually use cannabis for medicinal purposes because they have a serious condition or illness. Patients need the cannabis for their treatment for diseases or major condition with severe pain or different illness. When a patient takes the cannabis as a medicine there are many ways to take it. A patient can either take it orally, as an oil, or edible where it’s backed or cooked as a food. For example for people who choose not to smoke it can eat edibles. The edibles come in different forms from cookies to even regular food that contain THC. When it comes to THC, “it is Cannabinoids that are chemicals related to delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), marijuana’s main mind-altering ingredient” (KA, S., & AG, D. 2015). When taking the medication besides taking it orally or smoking it, there are other alternatives as well. For example there’s lotions for patients with severe burns to the skin. As well as oils and soap soaks that are for patients that have severe arthritis. If in all the patient does not want to either smoke or eat it there are also in liquid forms to take it. Not many people agree to the fact that it helps cancer patients as well as even kids with serious diseases. But many doctors and scientist have found positive uses for it in so many ways for different conditions. The United States has to come to realization that there are many uses for the medication. The United States doesn’t have to decriminalize it where as people will take advantage of it but legalize it to the point that patients will use it as medication. There are many negative people towards legalizing cannabis for medicinal purposes. But what they don’t realize is they are preventing people to feel better and also help patients with horrible diseases such as cancer and AIDS. Cannabis is not a drug as some people call it, it is a medicine such as Tylenol or over the counter drugs which help people in so many ways. Cannabis is a positive need in the world if used in the proper, useful way. But the government is yet to open their eyes for the medicinal purposes for it and the many aspects that patients can use to heal diseases. Cannabis is a powerful medicine in the world and not only the government or the United States need to realize that, but all of man kind does as well.
