This is a review of the Children’s Disney movie Meet The Robinsons that is directed by Steve Anderson and is loosely based on the book titled A Day with Wilbur Robinson written by William Joyce. I will be reviewing this movie in a two page essay and will be briefly covering it from beginning to end. I will also be discussing the movie and my opinions. This film was released in March of 2007 is a computer animated family comedy. This film was to take place roughly in its current time of release. The two most important characters of the movie Lewis and Michael “Goob” Yagoobian in which he is referred to as Goob. The movie starts off with Lewis and Goob that are Orphans in an Orphanage who are roommates. Lewis is an inventor and due to his wacky inventions he scares off all potential parents. Lewis believes that his mother who abandoned him when he was an infant putting him in front of the Orphanage is the only one that loves him. Lewis try’s to invent a machine to scan his brain so he can remember and find her. In the process of Lewis always inventing things and working on his current scan machine he is always keeping his roommate awake at night which causes Goob to fall asleep during important hours like school and his important baseball games. Lewis enters his invention in his school Science fair which turns into a total disaster and also runs into his son Wilbur Robinson from the future. To make a long story short Wilbur convinces Lewis to fix the machine. Lewis agrees to keep working on the machine if the boy can prove he’s from the future. Wilbur proves he’s telling the truth by taking Lewis into the in his time machine to the year 2037. While in the future Lewis and Wilbur encounter all kinds of obstacles and a creepy villain that wears a Bowler hat and try’s to steal and sabatoge the inventions.
