When she goes on deeper into detail she begins using very large amounts of pathos to say that not having a female coach in her life caused her to only be able to look up to athletes as a role model, rather than having one teach her along the way. This causes readers to have sympathy for her and all other young girls growing up without having a role model to look up to personally in their lives.
