Menes is most likely born in 3201 B.C. it is unclear when he was born or died. However, many people believe that he died as a result of a wild animal, most likely a hippopotamus, which represents an foreign invader from a different place. Menes was able to combine upper and lower egypt into one huge country/empire. This was important because there was constant warfare between the two parts before menes came to power. Also, another big political impact is that he created a lot of laws that instituted law and peace. As for his economic impact, it was huge. During his reign, there were vast amounts of money and the had huge surpluses of food. In fact, during his reign, people didn't have to work as hard and had the time to have hobbies like carving, sculpting, sports, brewing, and cultivating private gardens. He also created a huge dam before creating memphis as said above. His religious impact is also pretty great, he is thought of more so as a great king who came along a calmed the chaos, which to some extent means that his is a god. Because of his accomplishments, he probably is a praised and seen as a god by the egyptians,reinforced by the fact that they believed that the pharaohs were living the Horus. Nevertheless, menes established the divine rules of worship as well as formalizing religious practice.
