Also, move them to a quiet place. Any loud or scary places will not help. Second, if they take any anxiety medicine, offer it. Schizophrenia, by definition, is when someone has trouble discerning what is real and what is just a trick of their mind. They may suffer from voices, or delusions or “special abilities” that no one else can see or hear. There are two types: paranoid schizophrenia and disorganized schizophrenia. Paranoid schizophrenia is when they are suspicious and can not figure out if the things they see or hear are real or not.
