Analyze similarities and differences in methods of political control in Sparta and Athens.
The methods of political control in Sparta and Athens were different based on their social lives. However, they had similarities both Sparta and Athens fighting in the Persian war, and in Religion. The Spartan’s and Athens’s had differences on how they lived there social life on treatment of the woman or similar things creating a Union.
One difference that the Spartan’s and Athens’s had on methods of political control was their aspects on different social lives within each other. The Sparta’s social life was everyone was treated with equality. For example, the Sparta woman and Sparta men had basis of equality. In ancient Greece males and females had largely separately but equal lives. When males were spending the most of the day in the fields, women would be around the house. (EV) Both the work and what a woman Sparta or man did gave a balance to one and another. However, unlike Sparta, the Athens social life was patriarchal, were the man had the power.
What brings together the Sparta and Athens on the methods of political control was on military, which they both fought in the Persian War. Even though, both Spartan’s and Athens’s fought shoulder to shoulder as one, it leads to destroy each other. (DC) The Persian War started
