Building information alone could have easily been used to protect their employees once Metro-North exercised their due diligence before taking on a job site. Once a job site tested positive for asbestos Metro-North must inform their employees of the presence and what areas tested positive as well as which building materials (Metro-North Commuter R.R. Co. v. Buckley). If a job site test above asbestos limits, Metro-North needed to make a determination that any job connected with specific materials cannot exceed asbestos work conditions and concentrations levels. Ensuring employees have the best possible equipment to protect them from exposure as well as monitoring the air quality in the work area to limit airborne exposure and air quality.

    As previously mentioned, a huge corporation like Cineplex is in their best interest to have programs like these incorporated in their company so that all requirements are answered. One of the types of inspection that can relate to the Cineplex’s inspection program is the unplanned informal inspection in which can be encouraged by training and education. As an employee were given specific training in hazardous areas, such as the areas around machines with cables running from behind even how to properly use the machine was a huge part of knowing the job as well. In an unplanned informal inspection the managers would keep records of hazards that were identified and responded to resolve the issues. We had safety checklists in each unit that had guidelines that we had to follow, we had to make sure we went over everything in the checklist by checking off everything and writing notes if there was a problem in that specific unit. The company was also the only food and beverage company in the US to make Corporate Knights' 2012 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporation rank. Indeed, Campbell Soup Co. has seemingly embraced the CSR movement that's been transforming the global business environment. Not only has it willing integrated CSR into its business strategy, but it also hired a vice president of CSR in 2010. Even further, the company incorporated the culture into its mission: "Together we will build the world's most extraordinary food company by nourishing people's lives everywhere, every day." On its website, it glaringly displays its CSR initiatives, which it labels: "nourishing the community, nourishing the planet, nourishing consumers and nourishing employees"; even stating its total giving - approximately $51 million of its $805 earnings for 2012. Given these initiatives and the unquestionable influence that they have on its bottom-line, one must ask the question, is Campbell Soup Co. truly concerned about its impact on the wellbeing of its stakeholders, or is this all high level greenwashing?
