Anthony Suau, the photographer, attempts to portray the lengths immigrants undergo to cross the border. According to National Geographic, “Anthony Suau has dedicated his career to documenting the effects of international events on the lives of people around the world”(National Geographic). He aspires for the audience to gain a perspective for the immigrants by portraying photographic evidence. Suau wished to accurately document and humanize the migrants from Mexico. He wishes to give the audience a realistic perspective of what the border truly looks like because most people have never seen the border in person.
