One big thing is that in the United States people pay with money is called dollars rather in Mexico it’s called pesos. To make a dollar in the United States you need twelve pesos to make it. Since I lived in a city so near the border it was not much a difference. Even though I live in the United States people still talk most in Spanish since most family that live near the broader and many family’s that had come over to live in the united states from Mexico. So that was one big thing that was the same when I used to live in Mexico. Other thing that the two places had it the same was the religion. Growing up in Mexico I was thought to go to a catholic church, and the best part was that most people in Mexico are catholic. Therefore when I came to the United States in the area I was living many people were also catholic. However one thing that is not the same is the food. While I was living in Mexico I would eat whatever my mom had made me for dinner, but everything change when I move to the United States. The reason was that in the United States there are so many fast food place to eat, and everywhere I look there were a fast food nearby. However just like in Mexico there where many places to eat tacos in Mercedes. In the United States there really is no such this as “traditional” American food, simply because America is considered to be the “melting pot” of many different heritages and cultures.
