Michael Clayton: Honesty And Deception
The movie “Michael Clayton” shows the struggle with honesty and deception. The movie shows many similarities between the characters and what a journalist should do while reporting a story. In the beginning of the movie, Michael Clayton goes to see Arthur Edens after he had a breakdown. In this scene, Clayton is interrogating Edens about why he stops taking his medication. The scene relates with the chapter about interviewing.
Clayton goes to Eden’s hotel room and talks to the rest of the legal team. In this scene, he tells everyone to keep quiet about what happened in Milwaukee during the deposition. However, if Clayton were a journalist, he would recommend telling the truth.
