Collateral Interview With Michael Marino Analysis
A collateral Interview was conducted with Michael Marino, Ms. Amanda Palmenta’s husband. Mr. Marino reported that he is divorced. He stated that he has an adult daughter and two stepchildren who he is estranged with.

Mr. Marino reported that he has been living with his wife and Drea for one year.

He reported when he first met Drea the child played the game. He stated that she used to play this game with her father. The game consisted of the child straddling him, he was told whomever blinks gets tickled all over their body including the private parts. He has never asked the mother or child about this game.

The stepfather stated when Mr. DaSilva had visitation he would consistently bring the child home late.

Marino stated that the child becomes nervous if he leaves the garage door open because the child is scared that her father will enter the home through the garage.

There was one incident where he witnessed Drea’s panicked behavior when the child thought her father was coming up the driveway. Drea grabbed the German Shepard dog and pushed the dog in front of her while screaming and crying.
Mr. Marino reported that the child is aware that the home has security camera. He indicated that there have not been an explanation for the cameras.

The stepfather reported that the child has spoken with him about multiple dreams that have been disturbing to her. He indicated that the dreams consist of her father taking her from the home and stating that she will never see her mother again. There was one when the child stated that the father picked her up and jump off a cliff and killed them both. Drea indicated that the dreams consist of the father hurting her family.

The evaluator and Mr. Marino discussed Drea’s knowledge of her father’s arrest. He reported an incident in school where a child told Drea that she knew that her father was in jail. He stated that Drea told him “mom said Laura said daddy did something bad and had to go to a judge to answer for it”. Mr. Marino reported that the child has never seen the newspaper or other parents speaking about her father and his
