The following is a full environmental analysis of yupiepet.co.za starting with the micro environment, followed by the market environment and ending in the macro environment. The layout for each of the environments was taken from page 17 of the Business Studies grade 10 Learners Book, third edition 2018, Authored by Estie Meyer and Zain Strydom, and published by Consumo Publishers. Micro Environment:

As soon as the consumers find someone else that is cheaper, they will go towards them, the aim is that if the cheaper company lets down their consumers, your business needs to be the next best thing. yuppie pets offer only the best quality making it a top choice for many consumers.
Threat of New Entry. Your position can be affected by people's ability to enter your market. So, think about how easily this could be done. How easy is it to get a foothold in your industry or market? How much would it cost, and how tightly is your sector regulated?
• With a business such as yuppie pets, people are often scared to try new companies because they have become familiar with a certain company’s way of working. Yuppie pets doesn’t have to worry too much about the threat of new entry, as long as they provide a service that no consumer would want to leave behind.

Ethical Factors:
There aren’t many factors that affect yuppie pets currently according to my research, but factors that could potentially affect a business like this one would be: discrimination in the workplace, unsafe working conditions; with this factor we look more towards the condition of the delivery vehicle; decision making rules, workers morals and values, etc.

Therefore, concluding my full environmental report on yuppiepet.co.za I can say that there is an equal amount of strength and weaknesses in this particular business. They provide a wide variety but could do ore, they have multiple competitive advantages, but there will always be someone better than them. They are a clean, and trustworthy business. I would highly recommend anyone with a pet whom they adore and wish to give the best of the best treatment to, to go and visit http://www.yuppiepet.co.za/ and look at the amazing products they have to offer.

As I stated earlier, pet training classes and grooming services are a key differentiator that Petco and PetSmart have from grocers and big box retailers. It’s safe to say that pet owners generally know about these services; but how much are they learning from in-store marketing? I was surprised to see that there was a lack of in-store marketing promoting these offers from both Petco and PetSmart.…

On the other hand, a definite point in favor of the Ferndale Shelter is that only animal lovers work there, and there are plenty of them to give the animals good care! During my visit to the shelter, I learned that its two paid staff members and 13 volunteers spend time with every animal. They make sure each one gets exercise, has clean quarters, and is seen by a veterinarian. They de-worm the dogs and treat mange. This isn 't to say that all their animals are healthy. Sometimes the animals arrive at the shelter very sick. However, the shelter workers will not allow anyone to adopt a seriously ill animal. If an animal has…

In the past, the company image has been blemished by attacks from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). In our original company launching advertisement we showed an adorable video of a small dog in a blow up boat. We made sure that our dog was safe and comfortable, and did not put the animal into any harm. However, PETA still felt the need to attack us and highly publicize a campaign regarding the harm of animals in marketing strategies. PETA highly affected our sales in period 7, resulting in a decrease of nearly 60,000 units from the previous period.…
