I have spent my life caring for my sisters and my mother whilst my father was at work, and the skills that I have gained from this are what I feel are needed to be a good midwife. Due to my sister's delay in mental development I have learned to be a very patient and respectful person when dealing with people under stress and in new situations. I have developed strong mental stamina and I am able to keep calm under pressure when dealing with complex situations. My time keeping and organisational skills are exceptional and my kind and caring personality entices people to trust in me. I am a very committed person and I like to finish what I have started, even if things do not occur the way I had hoped them to.
I have recently completed my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award, which I believe shows commitment and excellent physical stamina. My teamwork skills have thoroughly improved in the past three years from completing my Bronze award all the way to Gold and I was able to adapt to new situations when our route needed to be changed suddenly due to flooding or poor weather
