Mikaela Rose's Journey
It started out as a cold, dark and soul-leeching morning heading out into the foggy morning. Mikaela Rose didn't like the feeling this trip gave her. From the moment Damion Sharp captain of the high school football team brought up this trip, Mikaela had felt a cloud of dread that something bad would happen rafting to his grandfather's old hunting cabin. She stepped outside her body shook from the chill of the air she grabbed her bag loaded into her car; She turned the key in her head a final thought of staying then hearing the catlike purr of the engine. Logan didn’t know why he had no explanation for it, he felt like something terrible would happen, He shrugged it off telling himself he didn’t like being around people for long. “What are you talking about?” Mikaela called up to him.

“The raft it’s gone.”

“What do you mean it’s gone.” Jenna called from the back of the group.

“It’s not here the rope is cut and the raft is gone.” everyone walked up behind James and looked, the rope was cut but not clean frayed almost like someone had taken an axe, or some other type of weapon that at one point would have been sharp.

“Damion this isn’t funny first you bring us out onto that raft in the dark, then we get to this old destroyed cabin you say your grandfather lived in. Now the rafts gone cut what are you trying.”

“What do you mean, you think this is my idea of a joke this place use to be vibrant, It was beautiful my grandfather loved it here. I don’t know what happened it’s weird it’s like the whole area died with my grandfather. I don’t know where the raft is it doesn’t make sense, a boat can’t just up and leave and how could I have cut the rope I was with you the whole time.

“So what did someone else cut the rope, is that what you are trying to say.” James looked mad but he was scared you could see
