Galley wrote this, when he was in prison and the story of the movie is related to his own life. The main character of the movie is Miles Montego played by Jeff "Ja Rule" Atkins, he is a gangster and a drug dealer, and the other one is Vanessa Leon played by Adrienne Bailon as the girlfriend of Miles and lately she became his wife. Vanessa is a very religious girl and has a strong devotion to God. Miles first saw Vanessa when he is driving but he does not has a chance to talk to her. Fortunately, in the next day when he goes to his friend's house Nick Halston (Vincent Pastore), for a party, he met her again. Nick introduced Miles to Vanessa and in that day they became closed. After a few days they started dating. In the other hand, because of the evidence that tells Miles is leader of a drug syndicate, the authority started to investigate and catch him, a Christian detective Jason McDaniels (Stephen Baldwin) who assigned to track every step of Miles. …show more content…
In a restaurant, after they went in a club with Miles's friend, Miles mentioned to Vanessa about his about his true life that he is a drug dealer. Even Vanessa knew the true life of Miles; it was okay to her because she knows that God loves any and everybody. After that, as a condition, Vanessa invited Miles to attend church every Sunday like Miles's mother wants to him, so miles regularly attending church every Sunday.     Christian is the book’s main character and the hero too. He symbolizes all of the other Christians that are on their journey to find Christ. He wants to find religious truth and the Celestial City, which is heaven. Throughout the entire book, Christian goes on a treacherous journey to the Celestial City after he got an invitation to go there. He leaves his family and city behind in order to find the Celestial City. He faces various temptations and dangerous situations throughout his journey.
