Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus
Disney Channel gave a young, teenage girl a chance to shine and become a star, and that is exactly what she did. In 2006, the television show Hannah Montana aired for the first time. Its main character was a young lady by the name of Miley Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus. She became the hottest new role model for young girls. Miley currently has been acting in rebellious ways to get a very dominate point across, that no matter what, be you, do not care what people think of you; should Miley be allowed to act in the ways she has just to get a point across to teenagers? For instance, Miley came out with her first hit single in a long time titled “We Can’t Stop” in 2013. It became a huge hit and everyone everywhere was singing along with Miley; shortly, after her song came out, she let her music video out to the song. In some people’s views and opinions it was very vulgar, and uncalled for. She showed off her new and older image that definitely was not the “Hannah Montana” everyone knew and loved. Parents started not allowing their children to view her ways. Obviously, again she was trying to get people to talk and get attention, and that is exactly what she did.
The television station MTV aired the 2013 Video Music Awards Miley, was lined up as one of the performers. She sang “We Can’t Stop” and wore exposing clothing along with dancing on and with props that sent out a message of vulgarity. The next day she was what people were talking about. Nobody agreed with how she acted, but it did not matter because she did not care what people thought. All she wanted was for people to talk once again and to get a point across to young people that it does not matter what people say, be who you are and do not care what think of you. Some reviews thought that Miley was portraying the wrong image for viewers and bashed her for the way she dressed. As a result of this, Miley did not let this bring her down; she still acted and dressed the way she wanted

therefore hearing this celebrity exposing her “new” gender sexuality resulted as a fabricated lie, a simple way to grab even more attention from viewers. However with more research I learned that it is in fact an existing concept but not well known. Miley Cyrus way manner to portray herself on media is perceived as innovative and “cooly” admirable for some people, yet it looks very fraudulent and just a show in my opinion. The way she expose her nude body like a normal issue bothers me for the fact that our body is sacred to ourselves and we have to love and respect ourselves before anything else, but she just uses it to publicity and the creation for many more scandals that can give her more attention and relevance around the world. Celebrities like Miley Cyrus have the idea of women revolution as a frequen easy way to gain more fans by taking their body exposure to another level where nothing is in the imagination…

Many people see her as a horrible role model because of her actions lately. Miley transitioned from an inspirational character on Disney Channel to a rebel involved with drugs, alcohol, and being provocative. For example, rather than degrading women, this song is elaborating on how society and the media have brainwashed women to believe that their looks and weight are more important than their knowledge. With that said, in the beginning of the video, one will see a little girl watching television. When the little girl turns on the T.V. she sees two beautiful women putting on makeup. Then, as the little girl is still watching television, we see a beautiful, skinny woman, who is obviously ditzy and has money to buy name brand clothing, getting a lot of attention from a man. At this time, the little girl sees and believes that, according to society, women will get a lot of attention from men, and have money if she is, unrealistically, skinny and beautiful. Although, the little girl then takes a stand and says “I don’t wanna be a stupid girl.” This means she does not want to be a women like the girls throughout the media. To me, this is important for women and especially young girls to see because the song, and my music video, is saying that it is okay to be different and one does not have to follow the norms of an i”deal women” like is portrayed all over television and popular…

Hannah Montana, the television series, demonstrates the complications of attempting to maintain established family values, while being a teenage girl who has become famous and wealthy. Miley Stewart, also known as Hannah Montana, is repetitively attempting to balance her Tennessee, down-to-earth family values with the temptations of financial and celebrity success and how that reproduces greed. In the sense of a worldview, Hanna Montana mirrors a similar worldview to my own, by making an attempt never to hurt others and striving to replicate a solid awareness of right and wrong. In the sitcom, the characters of the family are made up of a nontraditional situation. It is made up of Hannah Montana’s single father, two best friends and her goofy brother. Although Hannah Montana may be thought as a low budget series founded on a spoiled teenage girl with a lot of fame, at the end of each show, Miley always comes back to her solid family values of doing what is right.…
