Minimum wages will improve society
I am responding to the editorial “...”. Minimum wage is current topic, and important, but I believe it does need to be raised. Not everyone can support themselves on minimum wage.
I am in complete agreement that it is impossible to raise a family well on minimum wage. The only number of people that it is possible to support on minimum wage is one, the person working. If you work on a minimum wage, you can’t have a family. And this is only looking at poverty lines, not whether you can afford everything.
Additionally, people have started becoming “stuck” at minimum wage. Minimum wage is often thought of as a incoming worker wage. A chance for new workers to prove themselves at a job, in hopes of an advancement

    As the minimum wage increases, so does inflation. If an employer has to pay higher wages, then the price of the product or service being produced will have to cost more in order to pay the employee. In return the prices of all goods and services will rise, and the person earning higher wages, makes no gain. In some instances, a pay hike would not make a livable wage, but in fact could make it worse. People who normally get tax breaks for having a low income, would now end up paying more in taxes and may actually end up making less money overall.
