Mink Coat Research
One of the most common types of vintage fur coats are made out of mink fur. This guide will help you learn how to get an old smell out of your mink coat, oil you coat and fluff it.

Getting Out That Old Smell

When you purchase an old mink coat, it may not smell that fresh depending on how it was taken care of. Mink coats tend to absorb the odors from their environment; if your mink coat was stored for a long time or improperly stored before you purchase it, it may have picked up any lingering odors.

You cannot put a mink coat into your washing machine; doing so will ruin it. However, you can get out old and funky smells.

The first thing you need to do is hang up the mink coat inside of a brand new, and fresh smelling, garment bag. Then, take some baking soda and spread it along the bottom of the bag. You should use

The baking soda will neutralize the offending smell. After a week, open the garment bag, take out the coat, and see if it smells better. If their is still an odor, add some extra baking soda and let it stay sealed inside the garment bag for another week.

Make It Shine

Over time, your mink coat will start to loose it natural oils. When it looses its natural oils, it will start to dry out and the fur will look dry and flat. The best way to release your mink coat’s natural oils and give your coat back its shine is to oil your coat.

The first thing you need to do is take your coat and gently shake it out to dislodge any dust or dirt that may be clinging to your coat. Then lay your coat on a flat, clean surface with the front of your coat facing towards you.

Take a clean microfiber cloth and wrap it around your hand. Start at the top of your coat, near the shoulders, and stroke the mink hair in a downwards motions. Make sure that you are applying even pressure as you stroke your coat. Work your way down your coat. If the microfiber cloth becomes dirty, replace

The second step is to separate the individual fibers of the fleece and pick out stems, rocks, and poop. To do this a machine called the picker is used. Simply spread the fleece out on the picker belt and allow the picker to pull the fibers apart and drop into the picker room. In the picker room there is a large auxiliary fan that stirs the fibers in their cotton candy like form. After all the fleece has ran through the picker, open the door to the picker room and spray a natural anti-static treatment to help in future steps. When the fibers dry, gather and place back into the tote.…

Using a clean rag, begin by gently applying a thin layer of oil or shaving cream to the external parts of the glove. Be careful not to overdo it: too much oil will damage the leather. After letting the glove dry overnight, take the ball and pound it several times into the palm of the glove to form a pocket. Next, wedge the ball into the palm, wrap the string around the glove with the ball inside, and tie it tightly. Let the glove sit for at least three or four days, and then remove the string, wipe the glove with a clean rag, and head out to the ball field.…

In the story The Scarlet Ibis, Brother tried to teach Doodle to walk in order not to make him embarrassed. He finally succeeded. Later, he wanted more and asked doodle to learn to swim, to run and to do everything that normal kids could do. So it comes to the question: is it is the brother’s fault that caused the sad ending and do the motives matter in the end though you are doing something good?It looks conflicting in the story. Brother taught Doodle to walk with selfish motivation, but he succeeded and everyone was happy. Later, he tried to teach Doodle more with the motivation to make Doodle a normal kid .But he failed and Doodle died. The story did not give an exact answer .But it suggested that the motives do not matter so much to the result as we always regarded. There are good motivations driving us to do good things. First, you must groom your horse. The grooming process includes brushing the horses mane and tale with a comb. A soft body brush is used to groom the horse’s coat. If the horse is muddy, a rubber or a metal curry comb may be used. When grooming the horse’s coat, it is best to go with the direction the hair lays. A bride path may be cut for convenience when applying headgear. A bridle path is a section cut out of the mane behind the poll, the junction between the ears. To determine how long you should cut the bridle path, pull an ear backwards towards the tail. The tip of the ear marks how far you should roach, or lowly cut, the mane. This helps headgear such as the bridle or a halter to lie nicely on the horse’s…
