owner of small-town computer, a new, local computer repair store that also builds custom computers to order. What competitive strategies would you advise small-town computer to take? Which ones will have difficulty exercising?
Differentiate. Niche. The most difficult would be differentiate strategy because it would be hard to create a unique business which means there will always be competitors such as custom built computers as DELL. They will have compete with thier deals compared to what they can offer. It is best to start of just local and offer local service and repair within that small town. This could branch out of the towns limits for expansion. owner of small-town computer, a new, local computer repair store that also builds custom computers to order. For Worthington Industries, I would recommend the differentiation strategy. The differentiation strategy consists of making the goods or amenities dissimilar from the competitions. Worthington Industries currently does a bit of this by venturing into nearly any market that has steel involved in it. Most steel companies seem to focus on one particular entity in their market, for example automotive industry. Providing just automotive steel parts really limits you to one industry. The reason for that was I made sure to include all the customer was looking for in a product. Our competitors simply created the computers according to what was at the top of the customers list. They also did not include any extras as we did. Our competitors simply focused on what was most important and built the computers according to that information.…

What I would do is to focus on the weakness the market inefficiency existing among the entrepreneurs operating the same business as the one am establishing. The recent economic recession faced by not only the United States, but also major countries across the globe, has made it tough for businesses to keep operating at a profitable level and forced many to downsize their personnel or to even go bankrupt. In fact, this tough economic period has caused consumers, whether they are manufacturers buying raw material or an average person buying food at the grocery store, to be a lot more conservative with regards to their needs and spending. Consequently the small business sector, which relied on niche markets and customers that value quality over price, became the sector most affected by the economic recession. As a result of this lower demand, many small businesses have had to implement new or improved…
