Miscegenation Miscegenation dated back as far as 1860’s and took a long time to resolve all the problems that came with it. Miscegenation was a big halt in history until a government of a state took a stand and repealed all the laws that related to miscegenation. Additionally some main points of the movement were laws,segregation, and outbreaks in society. Segregation was a hard time for the United States of America and was harder when miscegenation and interracial laws came around at the time until the state of virginia took a stand for the rights of the people in their state. As more laws came to be men both white and black got out of hand and went kind of rambunctious and started to push around women. And at the time women never really had rights and couldn't really do anything about it because they were women. In more marriage laws it was said that women were not allowed to marry another race except whites to keep their race pure with no color mixing. In addition with these laws men didn't like these laws so white men abused black women and black men abused white women. Individualism would still be happening has changed.For example women never stood up and when individualism and equal rights came around it would allow them to have rights but maybe have to always listen to a man in charge, and possibly not work around with men. Additionally humans rights would of been something in history that could of changed if this event never happened. That's some reasons why this event helped in history. This supports the thesis by relating to laws that were made that made America change.
