Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to never judge someone for how they look. uThesis Statement: Apply this simple steps to stop being judgmental, 1) don’t pass judgment 2) understand 3) accept 4) Love
I. Attention (How will vthyou get the audience listening)
Doing a brief mental game with two famous actors.
The story of Jesus Christ while he was healing a leper. Jesus saw what was inside of that man.
II. Need (What are the specific needs of this audience that you want to address?)
A scripture in John 7:24: “Judge not according to the appearance but judge righteous judgment”
The statistics about first impressions say: when you meet someone for the first time, …show more content…
only 7% of their impression of you is based on what you say, 38% on how you say it, and a massive 55% on their appearance and manner. What does this tell us? It tells us that we judge more for how someone looks than how they really are. It said that “don’t judge a book by its cover”
Yes we all judge in a certain degree.
Yet, should we judge for how someone looks? I believe, that is a different story
III. Satisfaction (How will your product or idea meet the needs of this audience?)
1 Don’t pass judgment: If you find yourself being judgmental, stop yourself. dont judge a book by its cover
2 Understand: Instead of judging someone for what he’s done or how he looks, try instead to understand the person. Put yourself in their shoes. dont judge a book by its cover
3 Accept: Once you begin to understand, or at least think you kind of understand, try to accept. Don’t judge a book by its cover
4 Love: Love him as a brother, or love her as a sister, no matter who they are, old or young, light skinned or dark, male or female, rich or poor.

talent.
IV. Visualization (Imagine how much better their life will be when these needs are satisfied)
Oprah: Everybody know Oprah. She is a very successful woman in the world. She had a pretty rough to get where she is right now, including childhood abuse and being fired from her job as a television reporter because her appearance was “unfit for tv”
Marilyn Monroe: We all know her a one of the sexiest woman ever existed.
However, believe or not, while she was trying to be a model, she was judged by her appearance. The modeling agents told her that she should instead consider being a secretary.
Imagine what would’ve happened if Oprah and Marilyn Monroe had given up on their goals, we would not have Oprah show and Marilyn Monroe famous happy birthday song to J F Kennedy. Don’t judge a book by its cover
V. Action (What specifically do you want the audience to do?)
My question for you today is should we consider judging people for how they look or try to be more Christ like and look at them with different eyes? How many times a day do we avoid someone because of he or she looks? When I says looks I mean, race, culture, clothing, style. Now, let’s stop judging others by their appearance. Let’s be more Christ like, because at the end we are going to be judge how we judged others
