empty of all expression . It closed its mouth in attacking form. It ran, it hustled away and its tiny arms ran crushing all organisms, its taloned feet clawing damp earth, leaving prints six inches deep wherever it flooded its weight.
The Tyrant reptile raised itself. Its soft fur shined like the sun against a mirror. The sun, glimmered with sparkles, and ever so flashing. In the fur tiny insects wriggled, so that the entire body seemed to twitch and retaliate , even while the monster itself did not move. It exhaled. The smell of moist, sweaty clothes ran threw the forest. The Monster, at the first motion, leaped ahead hollering tribal mumbles that no one could comprehend. It covered one hundred yards in six seconds. The rifles jerked up and blazed fire. A hurricane from the monster's mouth got all things trapped in slime and bits of dead animals it had once ate. The Monster roared. tentacles shined with the light of day. The rifles cracked again, then there was a loud squeak by the monster. The monster let its tail fly like a bird and it went up and down and lashed sideways. Trees exploded in clouds of leaf and branch. The Monster twitched its jeweler's claws up to fondle at the men, to smash them in half, to crush them like scissors on paper, to cram them into his gigantic mouth and destroy them. Its boulderstone eyes below the men. They saw themselves
mirrored.
