A third assessment offered is the quantitative top down constructed The Jung Typology Test that is used for prediction. Individual obtain their four letter type formula according to Carl Jung’s and Briggs-Myers’ typology approach to personality. It is a shorter version of the MBTI, providing the same information on the 16PF on a much smaller scale. The JTT has a closed end question format that forces participants to choose their answer on a Likert-scale. There is a reduction in error because there is no proctor present and the instructions are easy to read.…

We all play various different roles throughout our journeys through life. Star Wars was written and produced by George Lucas. His original story was based on the writing of Joseph Campell who was a scholar of myths and legends. George Lucas also based his ideas off of Jung’s Archetype Theory. This theory is that our personalities fit into one of many different types, each based on a collective unconscious. His story follows a classic heroic arc. Star Wars was the first serious science fiction film created and also one six Oscars. In the movie Stars Wars by George Lucas’s characters relate to other books in terms of Jung’s theory, and relate to Jung collective unconscious, and have a familiar heroic arc.…
According to Jung Typology Test’s result, ENTP is my personality type. The accuracy of personality tests are doubtful for me. They seem to me like the given descriptions by horoscopes, any one gets this result would probably think it was he or she, especially since it is mostly praising. So that, I looked at the weakness to figure out whether ENTP describes me exactly or not.…
1. The author uses the term “wage slave” to refer to workers that take any job available to them, for whatever wage is offered, because they have no other choice.…
Japan and its people moved over to Korea and had begun treating Korean as slaves as the oppression began. Even at a young age, Sookan and other children were forced to go to a Japanese school, speak Japanese, and sing the Japanese national anthem. Some Koreans had punishments for not obeying the Japanese; punishments such as being beaten, being fussed at, or never heard from or seen again. Koreans were pushed to support and help the Japanese military since they were protecting them from the “white devils”. Children made spears, sharpened glass and rocks, while the adults ran factories, such as Sookan’s mother. Sookan’s mother ran a sock factory to provide socks for the military. Daily, their production was checked up on. Sock production had been slow one day, and as a punishment, the sock girls were taken away to live on the front as “spirit girls”; they had to please and keep the solider spirits lifted during the war. Food was sparse and most of it was sent to the Japanese military, but it had been grown by the Koreans. The Japanese used the rice shortage to their advantage, as many Korean households were starving; if you are hungry you will do what you are told to get a nice, big bag of rice; this is where the Koreans were fooled. They would do their duties for the Japanese, but when it came to get rice, they would believe they are a plentiful bag, but once the bag was opened, it was filled with sand and some rice. Their heritage,…
This example is similar to Uncle taking care of Shin in the cell for about 6 months. Also, this example shows that North Korea is evolving as a country because it accepted help from South Korea and is trying to help the hunger problem by providing food and fertilizer. Additionally, the book also says that “North Korea would’ve lost the Korean War and disappeared as a state without the help of the Chinese, who fought the United States and other western forces as a stalemate.” This example relates to Shin getting help from the old man by the Tumen River. Moreover, this example shows how North Korea evolved as a country since it got help from a country they don’t consider a friend. In the book on page 77, the author says, “The North Korean government had decided that the camp…needed a reliable source of electricity, and fast.” This example relates to how Shin had to think fast when trying to get to China without Park. Also, this example shows that government is trying to make a change and started to build a hydroelectric dam. The book also says, “The lyrics of “Song of the Winter Solstice,” which recent defectors say is the theme song of a popular program on North Korean television…” This example relates to Shin singing the song with Park even though he could get in trouble. Also, this example shows that North Korea has changed because the songs people in North Korea could sing had to honor the leaders, but this song is about companions who endure hardship and pain. Another statement the book talks about is that “It shocked him to see North Koreans going about their daily lives without having to take orders from the guards.” This example relates to Shin not taking orders when traveling to North Korea and shows how North Korea has changed because many people think that North Koreans have to take orders from…
The end of World War II marked an important time in American history – once again, America had proven its military and economic prowess. In the years following 1944, much change was instituted regarding both foreign and domestic affairs. 1949 was a turning point in American domestic and foreign policies to the extent that it supplemented and amplified developments that had already been put in place. Many of these developments were the results of the Cold War or World War II, however 1949 marks when these policies and political ideals were further developed.…
When the human brain decides to repress a memory, it pushes it down so deep into the core of our hippocampus in order to protect us from ever recalling it. This unconscious process acts as a defense mechanism that helps us avoid any mental or emotional stress or scarring from any painful, horrific, traumatic experiences that we have been through in our past. Sigmund Freud was a neurologist who is famously known for his many studies and theories on psychoanalysis of the human brain and its nature in the 20th century. He was born in Freiberg, Austria on the 6th of May 1856, though at the age of 4 years, he moved with his family to Vienna where he settled and began his education. In 1983 after graduating from the University of Vienna with a medical…
To begin, the first interesting thing to be pointed out is the hangman's noose in the foreground behind the mob next to the dilapidated and burning African American “Colored” Orphanage. These images combined with the words “White Purity” and such racial slurs featured on the wall as “Rat-Eater” and “Barbarian” demonstrate the feelings of superiority that the dominant White citizens had about the Chinese. In the minds of many, White was the superior race and all other nationalities were inferior. According to the picture, the Chinese were to be seen no better than former African American slaves and were so low that they could justly be dealt with by a “bullet,” meaning murdered, as well as by “ballot,” meaning an immigration ban, which did eventually pass in 1882. In short, as Du Bois might put it, the “Chinese Question” bore striking similarities with the “Negro Problem.”…

Lee illustrates the prevalence of discrimination and racial profiling in America’s 1930’s. That is still the case in world today. Attitudes towards inequality in a negative way can bring out an ugly side of a person, one message Lee shows in her novel. An example of a negative attitudes towards minorities are racial slurs. Racial slurs, also used in the book, are tossed around like they do not mean anything. This exemplifies that the race or group being discriminated against are still inferior like in the book that is based in the 1930’s.…
