What would happen if you lost all your morals? Will you still be accepted into society? In the novel Lord of the Flies, a group of boys become stranded on an island after an atomic bomb exploded. The boys have to learn how to survive without outside contact, but without any discipline most of the boys become savage and rather live on the island for the rest of their lives. In Lord of the Flies by William Golding, it shows that power is what makes other people better than others, but with that power you can erase all of humans set morals and destroy civilization. In the novel that boys seem like they’re locked in jail with no outside contact, which can make them go crazy and savage because their morals are the only thing left to lose, and when you lose them they have become corrupt. As the boys are on the island it seems like all hope is lost and they were going to die on the island, the only thing they kept that made them civilized are their morals, losing these morals is losing part of society, just like how criminals get lost in society because they have lost their morals, Morals shape people to who they are and what they stand for. Solitary confinement is not always the best thing for a human, people can lose touch with society and will no longer feel connected to the people in society. The boys in Lord of the Flies loose their connection with the people outside which can feel like the world is ending, without your connection to the world morals get lost with those connections. People play a huge part in society and the effects of human’s daily lives, other people set others morals. Losing your morals is like losing your identity, people will become self-lost and will be totally corrupt.
