Most Termites Have A Caste System

Termites, from all different houses, can slowly destroy it with their varying diets. Since termites eat many different types of wood. Termites have a caste system. Which include Kings and Queens. Also, blindness is a trait that most termites have.
Termites have a caste system. Which includes the workers, soldiers, reproducers, the King, and the Queen. The King and Queen are the founders of their ¨kingdom¨ or nest. They started the reproduction of more termites to live in their nest. The soldiers are the ones that build and protect the nest. The workers are much like peasants, which collect food. Then there are the reproducers they mate and produce more termites for their nest and care for the young larvae.
Since termites live in dark and
murky places there really isn’t a reason to have the sense, that most humans would freak out if they didn’t have, of sight. The worker termites and soldier termites are completely blind. Termites can only develop eyes once they fully mature, And you can only fully mature if you reproduce. Which the reproductive termites only can do. Once the termite fully matures it will start to grow eyes and be able to see other to termites to find it’s mate.
Termites eat wood. Plain and simple, they live in wood also. Sadly, no matter the type of house you live in, termites can find some form of wood to eat. The three main species of termites that invade homes in the United States are the Eastern Subterranean termites, Pacific dampwood termites, and the Southeastern drywood Termites. There are millions of more species, but these are the most found termites to invade homes.
