Meet Yuichiro Miura, an 80-year-old Japanese man. Before Yuichiro started climbing he broke his hip in an accident. Later he underwent surgery for his hip, he also had to have heart surgery. After all of this, Yuichiro thought he would never be able to climb. “I have a dream to climb Everest at this age” says Yuichiro “If you have a dream, never give up. Dreams come true”. This inspired him to take the risk and climb Everest. To prepare for climbing Mount Everest,Yuichiro walked three times a week with loads from 25 to 30 kilograms on his back. Yuichiro first summited Mount Everest at age 70 on May 22nd, 2003, he summited again in 2008 on May 26th, at the age of 75, and became the only man on earth to summit Everest twice after becoming 70!
